A Great Honor

In 2019, I was honored to receive the Master Jack McGeorge Excellence in Education Award at that years' Master/slave Conference.

Book Readings and Author Signings

Book Reading at DucKon 2009 with Karen and TravisI love reading my fiction to a live or online audience. I love connecting in a personal way with each listener through my words. I love watching the reactions as I read, transporting each audience member into another world, one they may not even know they wanted to visit until I started reading.

While my fiction may be classified as erotica, my readings have entertained all orientations and all sexual categories who enjoy the genres I write in. As you will see below, I've been honored to do this many, many times, but I'd still love to do a reading for you and your group.

Have a club, group, munch, or event that is looking for an author to share her work? Send me an e-mail and we can talk about it.

Book SellingI do not charge a fee for my participation, but let me be honest — I'm not rich either. I do require that my admission (and that of my assistant) to your event be covered. He is quite knowledgeable himself and can serve on panels as well. I also ask that you offer me a chance to sell my books during the event. Events that can also offer me some coverage for travel expenses like gas or flight are greatly appreciated. Send me an e-mail for arrangements.

Workshops, Lectures, Panels, and Discussions

I've been giving lectures, serving on panels, and hosting discussions at various conventions through the years. The teacher in me loves to reach out to people in this way, sharing some knowledge I have gathered in my 30+ years of writing and consciously being part of the Kink Community. The student in me loves to exchange ideas with others at these events, offline and online, learning a bit more than I did when I first walked through the door. The idealist in me hopes that others have benefited from the things I do.

This is a list of workshops, lectures, and activities I have presented or am open to presenting at various kink and fandom conventions. These are basic descriptions; I will send a complete list with details and where I've taught it to legitimate organizations upon request. Note that some topics have been subdivided to reflect the needs of different groups who have approached me to teach. Some can be taught online while others are best experienced face-to-face. I reserve the right to say "not at this time" to any of these, but once I've agreed to appear at your event, I keep my word unless an emergency arises.

Some topics are designed to be co-led with Fox, my lifestyle slave since 1999, however he is hesitant to teach at times, so don't assume he will agree and instead give us a convincing argument as to why you'd like him to be more active at your event. Please e-mail me for details on any of these topics.

Roleplaying Game Storyteller

If your convention is looking for folks to run a tabletop roleplaying game set in the World of Darkness, please let me know! At Inconjunction, I used to run chapters of a Ghoul: Fatal Addiction game that was pretty popular.

Convention Memories

Captain Apollo and fangirlI had my first serious fangirl moment at any science fiction convention at Midwest Alternative Realities Convention (MARCon) 45 (May 28-30th, 2010). I met Richard Hatch (Capt. Apollo from the original "Battlestar Galactica" television series) who was kind enough to chat with me and get a photo with me. He even took a copy of The Chocolate Cult card but I don't expect him to visit there since I'm sure he's very busy.

I grew up watching so much science fiction on television because some of it could slip by my strangely conservative mother. So I remember him fondly from the original "Battlestar Galactica" but he's done a ton of work as an actor, producer, director, and writer. Thanks, Mr. Hatch, for giving me my first fangirl moment!

The theme of MARCon 45 was "Necropolis" so one of the panels I sat on was entitled "The Erotic Side of the Undead". Sitting on the panel with me (starting from my left) are fellow authors Rosemary Laurey, Denise Verrico, and David Wyatt. David was also on the "Erotica Readings" panel with me.

Erotic Side of the Undead Panelists

While the blurb for the panel mentioned vampires, we had a great interactive audience who wanted to know what other undead could be erotic. Obviously ghosts can be erotic but we struggled with the tiny trend of trying to make zombies erotic.
